This is one of the most urgent areas of our work.
Across Uganda, mental health challenges are rising, especially among young people. Studies show that over 67% of adolescents report at least mild depressive symptoms, with many experiencing anxiety and emotional strain . At the same time, stigma and limited access to support mean many people are dealing with this silently.
We approach mental health in a practical and culturally aware way.
We do not position it as a clinical issue alone, but as part of everyday life, how people think, respond, and cope.
What we help individuals build:
- Practical stress management techniques
- Emotional awareness and regulation
- Healthy routines and coping strategies
- Mental resilience in uncertain environments
We also address real triggers such as financial pressure, unemployment, and social expectations, which are common sources of stress in Uganda .
The goal is simple: help people feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and daily lives.
